
ADEKANYE MAKES HISTORY AS EDUCATION DISTRICT II LAUNCHES FIRST-EVER STAFF CLINIC
In a groundbreaking move to enhance staff welfare, the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary (TG/PS) Mrs. Anike Adekanye, has launched the first-ever in-house clinic within the District Headquarters, Maryland.
While test running the facility, Mrs. Adekanye described the initiative as a major milestone in promoting the health and well-being of employees within the district, adding that the formal Commissioning will be coming up at a later date which will be communicated soon.
“The welfare of our staff is a top priority, and this clinic is a testament to our commitment to their health and productivity. With easy access to quality healthcare, our employees can now receive prompt medical attention, reducing absenteeism and enhancing overall efficiency in service delivery,” she stated.
She expressed appreciation to the Permanent Secretary of Health District II, Dr Dayo Lajide, for her unwavering support in providing dedicated doctors and nurses for the clinic. “Their diligence and commitment to staff welfare have been remarkable. This partnership ensures that our employees receive quality medical care, which is crucial for a productive workforce,” she added.
The clinic is set to provide essential medical services, including emergency care, routine check-ups, and preventive health education. This initiative is expected to significantly reduce staff medical expenses, improve work efficiency, and boost morale across the district.
She further emphasized that this pioneering effort aligns with the Lagos State Government’s vision of fostering a supportive and productive work environment within the education sector.
In her words, “The launch of this clinic sets a new standard for staff welfare in public institutions and reinforces Education District II’s dedication to excellence in both administration and employee care. Staff members have been trouping in to get their health status checked”. She stated.
She applauded Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu and his Deputy, Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hazmat for their unparalleled commitment to staff welfare in the state, while acknowledging unwavering support of the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Honourable Jamiu Tolani Ali-Balogun for development of education in the state.
