
GUNMEN KIDNAP DELTA FARMER, DEMAND N40M RANSOM
Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped 48-year-old farmer Kingsley Mordi, also known as Titi Camara, in Issele-Azagba, Aniocha North LGA, Delta State.
He was abducted around 7 p.m. on Friday near Umu Ubeh Farm while heading back to his farm.
Sources confirmed that the kidnappers contacted his family early Saturday, demanding a N40 million ransom.
“Mr Kingsley Mordi was kidnapped yesterday (Friday) while returning from his farm around 7 pm, and now this morning, they contacted two of the family members and demanded N40 million.
“We have reported the matter to police, and the DPO Issele-Azagba is on ground now making efforts how to rescue the victim,” the sources said.
A few weeks ago, six people were also reportedly kidnapped in the area.
When reached for comments, State Police Public Relations Officer SP Bright Edafe said he was unsure if the incident had been reported to the police.
