‘MY HUSBAND MAKES LOVE FROM MIDNIGHT TILL DAWN’ – DIVORCE-SEEKING WOMAN

On Tuesday, Linda Stephen, 37, went to a Kaduna Customary Court to get a divorce due to her husband Felix Stephen’s unreasonable sexual demands.
In her plea, Mrs. Stephen, a resident of Kaduna’s Ungwan Sunday, she claimed that her husband beat her up if she refused his advances.
According to reports, they had been wedded for six years.
Because she could no longer handle her husband’s constant demands for sex, she told the court that she was no longer interested in the marriage.
“I urge the court to dissolve this marriage because I can’t stand his excessive sexual urge. He likes sex too much, and I can’t bear it.
“Most times, he would have sex with me from midnight till early hours of the morning. Even when I am crying, he will not stop.
“It has been three months since I moved out of his house, his relatives have been pleading with me to go back to him, but they do not know what I am facing,” she said.
She added that her husband loses self-control when he wants sex and would beat her up if she didn’t accept his advances, even in front of their two children.
In response, Mr. Stephen, the husband, informed the court that he was ready to control his sexual drive and that he was in love with his wife. He begged the court to help him please her and not give in to her want.
“I took my uncles and friends to her parents house to plead with her. But she refused to listen to us instead she walked out on us,’’ Stephen said.
The court was also asked to grant him time to work things out and make amends with his wife.
While asking them to keep the peace, Judge John Dauda postponed the case until May 6 in order to get comments and determine the outcome of the reconciliation.
