
JUST IN: NIGER RECEIVES 17 RESCUED KIDNAP VICTIMS (PHOTOS)
Seventeen individuals kidnapped on March 3, 2025, from Loto Village near Kuchi Sarkin-Pawa in Niger State have been successfully rescued and handed over to the state government.
The victims, rescued in Kaduna State, were formally received on Thursday, April 11, 2025, by Niger State Deputy Governor Yakubu Garba and other senior government officials at the State Police Headquarters in Dutsen-Kura, Minna.
The Nigeria Police Force confirmed the rescue in a statement shared on Friday via its official X handle.
The rescued individuals were abducted over a month ago in a rural community and had since been held captive until their recovery through coordinated efforts.
While further details of the rescue operation were not disclosed, the police statement read, “Niger State Government receives the seventeen (17) kidnapped victims rescued in Kaduna State, who were abducted on 3rd March, 2025 at Loto Village, via Kuchi Sarkin-Pawa, Niger State
“The rescued victims were received by the Deputy Governor of Niger State, Com. Yakubu Garba with other State Government functionaries at the State Police Headquarters, Dutsen-Kura Minna today 11th April, 2025.”
