VIDEO: FUBARA RETURNS TO PORT HARCOURT AFTER TWO-WEEK VACATION IN GERMANY
Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has returned to the state following a two-week vacation abroad.
He arrived at the international wing of Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, around 7PM on Friday.
A viral video circulating online shows the governor being welcomed by some of his aides at the airport.
He was then led to a waiting Sports Utility Vehicle, which swiftly departed the premises.
Though he had travelled to Germany, it was gathered that he met with President Bola Tinubu behind closed doors in London, United Kingdom, recently.
President Tinubu suspended Fubara, his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu, and members of the State House of Assembly after he declared a state of emergency.
The President had hinged his decision on the attacks on oil pipelines by some militant groups in the state in the heat of the feud between the Governor and the 27 lawmakers, citing the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
