MAN APPREHENDED IN LAGOS FOR ALLEGEDLY SLEEPING WITH TWO TEENAGE DAUGHTERS

Lagos State resident One Best Orji was taken into custody by state command agents on suspicion of having an extramarital affair with his biological daughters.
After learning about her husband’s regrettable behavior, Orji’s wife filed a complaint at the Surulere police station, which led to the arrest.
Before it was uncovered this year, she told the police that their two daughters, ages 12 and 14, had been abused for nearly a year.
She claims that, particularly while she is heading to the market, she frequently leaves the female children in her husband’s care.
The 28-year-old mother told the police that one day she saw her husband having sex with their 14-year-old daughter in their bedroom after returning early from the market.
Her husband had also been sexually abusing their 12-year-old daughter, she alleged, after she confronted the daughter to uncover the facts.
“I got pregnant at 17 and I went to live with him. I gave birth to my now 14-year-old daughter. My parents decided to let us live together,” the grieving mother told the police.
CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrest of Best Orji.
He said that the man had been charged to court for defilement under Section 137 of Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
“The complainant alleged that her husband defiled their two daughters at the Surulere area, hence her report which led to the arrest of the suspect.
“Upon his arrest, a medical report was obtained from a Sexual Assault Referral Center (SARC). The suspect was subsequently arraigned on May 9, 2025 for defilement under Section 137 of Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015,” he added.
