WE WILL REMOVE TINUBU IN 2027, BUT RETAIN BOSUN TIJANI AS MINISTER- EL RUFAI
By Jen Nomamiukor
Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai reportedly stated that President Bola Tinubu will be removed from office in 2027, but Bosun Tijani, the current Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, will be retained in the new administration. This suggests El-Rufai envisions a change in leadership while recognizing Tijani’s contributions as valuable enough to keep him in the cabinet.
Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai praised Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy Bosun Tijani’s performance, stating that Tijani would keep his position if their coalition removes President Tinubu from office in 2027.
During the Arewa Tech Fest in Katsina, former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai revealed he was delayed due to attending a crucial coalition meeting aimed at removing President Tinubu from power. Speaking at the tech-focused event, which brings together startups, investors, and policy leaders, El-Rufai confirmed efforts to build a political alliance for the 2027 elections. He has reportedly left the ruling APC and joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP). Minister Tijani delivered the keynote at the event.
