The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed that air interdictions carried out by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai have killed scores of terrorists and destroyed an insurgent stronghold in Borno State.

Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.

According to Ejodame, the strikes were executed around 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday in the Bula Madibale and Gezuwa general area of the state, following credible intelligence and surveillance reports.

He said reconnaissance had revealed unusual movements at the site, with about 45 terrorists seen converging, some arriving on motorcycles and bicycles from different directions. Two terrorist flags were also sighted at the location, indicating its use as a rallying point and stronghold for insurgents.

“Acting on this credible intelligence, the Air Component launched precision strikes, eliminating several terrorists, while the flagged structure and other hostile assets were destroyed,” Ejodame stated.

He further explained that the strikes disrupted the terrorists’ ability to regroup, reinforce, or mount further attacks on communities in the North East.

Ejodame reassured Nigerians that the Armed Forces remain committed to restoring peace and stability across the region.
