BREAKING: NNAMDI KANU’S TRIAL STALLED OVER ACCESS TO CASE FILE

The trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been stalled due to his inability to access his case file. Kanu, who is representing himself, told the Federal High Court in Abuja that he couldn’t open his defense because the Department of State Services (DSS) hasn’t given him the necessary documents.
The court had scheduled the session for Kanu to begin his defense, but he requested an adjournment to Monday, October 27, to allow him to review the case file and prepare. The prosecution didn’t object, and Justice Omotosho ordered the DSS to grant Kanu access to visitors, including on weekends, to facilitate his defense preparation.
The trial has been adjourned to October 27 for Kanu to open his defense.
