According to the statement, the Minister departed Abuja on Sunday and arrived in Dubai around 4 a.m. on Monday, where he was received by Nigeria’s Consul General in Dubai, Ambassador Zayyanu Ibrahim, along with officials from the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) who had arrived earlier.

Wike is expected to lead a discussion panel on Tuesday, where he will speak on urban development and ongoing transformations in the Federal Capital Territory, and engage with mayors and city leaders from around the world.

The 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit (APCS) is designed to foster long-term trade and investment partnerships among cities and businesses across the Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and other regions.

Initiated by the Brisbane City Council in Australia, the APCS remains one of the world’s most inclusive platforms for mayors, city leaders, business executives, and young professionals to exchange ideas on sustainable urban development and economic growth.
