
JUST IN: IG MEETS WITH COMMANDERS OF THE 79 POLICE MOBILE FORCE SQUADRONS IN ABUJA
The 79 Police Mobile Force squadrons’ commanders are currently in a meeting with Olukayode Egbetokun, the acting inspector general of police, at the Force Headquarters in Louis Edet House, Abuja.
The Police Management Team meeting is being attended by all six deputy inspectors general of police, who represent the six geopolitical regions of the nation. A few assistant inspector generals of police are also in attendance.
Since the meeting was originally scheduled to start at 1:00 pm, the IG arrived at the meeting at precisely 3:10 pm, two hours late.
Although the specifics of the meeting are unknown, Egbetokun assured Nigerians of the Nigeria Police Force’s resolve to protect lives and property in a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer on Sunday. He noted that the meeting was in furtherance of his vision and drive to achieve his goal of securing the country.
