ALLI-BALOGUN ASSURES TEACHERS OF QUALITY TRANSFORMATION FOR IMPROVED TEACHING DELIVERY

The Lagos State Commissioner for Basic Education and Secondary Education, Hon. Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, has assured all teachers in the state of quality and improved teaching delivery by investing in digital tools.
This was in commemoration of the World Teacher’s Day, which is always celebrated on 5th of October every year.
The Honourable Commissioner, in a statement signed on Thursday, stated that the ministry will continue to implement the education transformation plan as spearheaded by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu.
Alli-Balogun, appreciated the teachers for helping to plant the seed of knowledge on every student from foundation while adding that their influence spreads beyond the classrooms, in inspiring students to achieve their dreams, embrace diversity, and become responsible citizens.
He thanked the executives and members of the NUT in Lagos State led by Comrade Akintoye Hassan for the sustained partnership and support to the Ministry, while noting that the ministry will continue to nurture the relationship for the benefit of the children and the upliftment of education in Lagos State.
The statement reads, “Today the 5th of October 2023, as the world celebrates the most valuable human resource and asset in the provision of education, on behalf of Lagos State Government under our amiable team leader and education friendly Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu ably represented here today by our revered Deputy Governor, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, I would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our dedicated and remarkable teachers in Lagos State for the celebration of Y2023 Teachers Day.”
“Today is also remarkable for me personally as a trained teacher and proudly one of you in spirit and in practice. I am equally elated to be in your midst officially for the first time since I was sworn as the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education in Lagos State.”
