JUST IN: APPEAL COURT SACKS SENATOR ISHAKU ABBO
Ishaku Abbo, the legislator for the Adamawa North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, was not elected. This decision was made by the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Amos Yohanna, won the election when Senator Abbo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared the winner by the court.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced that Yohanna finished second in the National Assembly election held on February 25, 2023, and that Senator Abbo had won his reelection.
