Oprah Winfrey donates $5 million to the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta
Billionaire media mogul, Oprah Winfrey on Friday night donated $5 million to the Ron Clark Academy, a private school for gifted black students in Atlanta.
Winfrey attended the schoolās 10th anniversary as a special guest and shocked the audience by announcing she’ll be donating $5 million to the school.
āThe reason why I am here, Iām giving up my time for free to be here ā to support them ā is to say, āBravo, keep doing itā,ā she said. āBecause there is not a better school, organization, institution in the USA.ā

According to reports, the money will go to building a performing arts academy, so far the school has raised over $7 million for the project.
