Oprah Winfrey donates $5 million to the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta
Billionaire media mogul, Oprah Winfrey on Friday night donated $5 million to the Ron Clark Academy, a private school for gifted black students in Atlanta.
Winfrey attended the school’s 10th anniversary as a special guest and shocked the audience by announcing she’ll be donating $5 million to the school.
“The reason why I am here, I’m giving up my time for free to be here – to support them – is to say, ‘Bravo, keep doing it’,” she said. “Because there is not a better school, organization, institution in the USA.”
