ONDO POLICE ARREST TWO OVER MAN’S DEATH AFTER HOTEL SEX ROMP
On Tuesday, the Ondo State Police Command said it had arrested two people in relation to the death of Abiodun Akintomowo in Ondo town, Ondo State.
After allegedly engaging in a sex romp with a woman who was thought to be his lover on Sunday in a hotel in the Akinjagunla neighborhood, Akintomowo reportedly passed away.
According to the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, who declined to reveal the identities of the suspects, said one of them was the girlfriend of the deceased, while the second suspect is the owner of the hotel where the incident happened.
The PPRO said, “The man (deceased) was not feeling alright after the sexual intercourse with the lady in the hotel, so he was rushed to the hospital and later died. The two suspects are still in our custody.”
She said an investigation into the matter was still ongoing while the remains of the deceased had been deposited at the morgue of a hospital in the town.
However, a source said the woman raised the alarm when the deceased collapsed in the hotel room after the alleged sex romp.
“The woman raised the alarm after realizing that the man collapsed. The manager of the hotel and some residents raced to the scene and made frantic efforts to rescue the man. He was later confirmed dead,” the source narrated.
He continued by saying that the hotel’s management had later reported the incident to the local Yaba Divisional Police Station.
The police arrived on the spot and took the deceased person’s motionless body to the University of Medical Sciences morgue in Ondo town.
