CHELSEA SUFFER INJURY BLOW AS ROMEO LAVIA IS RULED OUT FOR REST OF SEASON
Chelsea have been dealt a blow as summer signing Romeo Lavia has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Lavia arrived at Stamford Bridge from Championship side Southampton in a £58million deal last summer.
However, the 20-year-old midfielder has been plagued by injury throughout the season.
And now Lavia is set to miss the remainder of the campaign after suffering a further setback to his recovery.
“Recent medical assessments have confirmed that Lavia, who sustained a significant thigh injury against Crystal Palace back in December, will not feature again this season,” Chelsea said in a statement.

Lavia has only made one appearance since joining the Blues which was as a substitute against Crystal Palace in December, when he sustained a thigh injury having only just recovered from an ankle issue.
It means he has in fact played just 32 minutes of football for the London club.
