NBC TRADE FAIR: MINISTRY OF TOURISM, NAIJA BRAND CHICK COLLABORATE
The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has announced that it is set to partner with Naija Brand Chick (NBC) on the latter’s forthcoming Lagos Trade Fair scheduled to hold between 14th – 16th June, 2024 at the Whitestone Oregun Centre, Ikeja.
Speaking today at a press conference organised by the Ministry to announce the collaboration at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa, Mr. Idris Aregbe, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture said the initiative aims to reach out and forge a ground-breaking partnership with Naija Brand Chick (NBC).
According to him, the alliance is designed to significantly amplify the impact of the Lagos Tourism – NBC Trade Fair, an event that will serve as a catalyst for the entrepreneurial community in Lagos
While speaking on the revenue expected to be generated at the fair, the Special Adviser said, “With the involvement of the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, the Fair is set to expand its reach, and we are projecting an ambitious target of N5 billion in salesā.
“This yearās Fair will encompass a diverse array of sectors, such as Lifestyle and Home (Food and Drinks, Household Items, Electronics and other Equipment); Fashion and Personal Care (Fashion, Children’s Fashion, Beauty, Skincare, Hair and Hair Products); Services and Innovation; Services, Arts and Craft (Artisans, Craft Markets, Galleries); Adventure and Recreation (Water Parks, Eco-Tourism)ā,
“It will also include Travel and Hospitality, Travel Services (Tour Operators, Transportation), Hospitality (Hotels, Resorts, Real Estate), Cultural and Recreational Attractions (Theme Parks, Museums, Landmarks).
“The event is expected to draw a significant number of participants and visitors, providing an unparalleled platform for vendors and entrepreneurs to connect with a wider audience, showcase their offerings, and contribute to the flourishing economic fabric of Lagos”, Aregbe stated.
The Special Adviser added that the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture is dedicated to nurturing the diverse cultural heritage of Lagos, fostering the arts, and championing the growth of the tourism sector as a pivotal element for economic progress.
Also, speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture, Mr. Idowu Johnson said the partnership is a welcome development, and it’s going to be mutually beneficial to both parties.

Agboti, who is excited about the potential of the great partnership with Lagos State, posited that the Naija Brand Chick started in Lagos in 2018 and it’s commendable that the Government identify with the Brand as this will enable every business owner and entrepreneur to take advantage of the trade fair as there is money to be made and visibility and networking opportunities.
Nollywood Actress Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi, who was also present at the press briefing, commended the State Government and the organisers for their support for small-scale businesses that will be the beneficiaries of the Fair and called on them to take full advantage of the event.
