ACTOR KANAYO – IT’S UNGRATEFUL TO REPLY ‘SEEN’ AFTER FINANCIAL HELP
Veteran Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Kanayo O Kanayo, has expressed displeasure with what he perceives as a lack of gratitude from people who receive financial favours.
In a video he shared on Instagram on Monday, Kanayo criticised the response of “seen” after receiving money as a sign of ungratefulness.
He said, “I have one question. Why are people very ungrateful?
“You do somebody a favour by sending him or her money, and the person receives it and sends you a text with ‘seen.”
The actor further attributed this kind of attitude to “inheritance mentality,” which holds that assistance should be expected as a right rather than a favour.
“Seen? Come on! You think it’s your right? That’s an inheritance mentality; people are like this, and it doesn’t show that you are grateful,” he added.
ccording to Kanayo, expressing gratitude inspires the giver to do more.
