WORLD: RUSSIAN DRONES ATTACK UKRAINE PORT SECOND NIGHT IN A ROW
According to Kyiv on Thursday, multiple Russian drones attacked Romanian airspace as they targeted the port city of Izmail in southern Ukraine for the second night in a row, causing damage to infrastructure.
After leaving an agreement last year mediated by the UN and Turkey that permitted Ukraine to transport grain via the Black Sea, Moscow has been systematically targeting ports in the southern Odesa region.
Two individuals were hurt and “port infrastructure facilities were damaged” in the Russian attack, according to Izmail local officials.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, air defense systems have shot down 25 of Russia’s 38 attack drones, which were built in Iran.
“Another three Shaheds were lost after crossing the state border with Romania,” it said.

The attack, according to the governor of the Odesa district, which borders Romania, a member of the EU and NATO, damaged an administrative building.
According to local police, the Russian attack on Izmail one day earlier resulted in three injuries.
Following the incident on Wednesday, Romanians reported hearing explosions as the military searched the area near the border with Ukraine for drone debris.
Following reports that “several objects” had been seen “approaching the northern area” of the county, residents of 17 cities and villages in the southeast of Romania’s Tulcea county received notifications on their cell phones early on Wednesday.
