CHELSEA ANNOUNCE 19-YEAR-OLD ARGENTINE SIGNING ON SEVEN-YEAR DEAL
Chelsea have signed defender Aaron Anselmino from Boca Juniors for an undisclosed fee and has been loaned back to the Argentine side for the 2024-25 season.
The Blues announced the signing in a statement released on Thursday.
Anselmino signed a seven-year contract with Chelsea after making 10 senior appearances for Boca since making his professional debut in June 2023.
“Aaron spent time in the youth ranks of Juventud Unida and Sportivo Realico before joining Boca at the age of 12,” the Blues stated.
“He signed his first professional contract with the club on 10 June 2023, and was handed his first-team debut against Lanus on the same day.
The 19-year-old has gone on to make nine further appearances for Boca and scored his first senior goal for the club in April, a winner in the Copa Sudamericana group stage against Trinidense.
“Welcome to Chelsea and good luck on loan, Aaron.”
Anselmino became Chelsea’s eighth signing of this transfer window.
