TRAFFIC REGULATIONS ENFORCEMENT: LASG IMPOUNDS 56 VEHICLES OVER VIOLATIONS
The enforcement unit of the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation has impounded 56 vehicles for violating traffic rules.
This was mentioned in a statement by the Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi on Wednesday.
The action was monitored by the traffic compliance across areas in the state including Agege Motor Road, Oshodi-Apapa, Third Mainland bridge and Lagos Island.
The commissioner, however, reminded Lagosians that obeying traffic laws is not just about compliance but reducing congestion, safeguarding lives and ensuring free flow across the state.
Read statement below, “Today, the Enforcement unit of the Ministry of Transportation monitored traffic compliance across key areas, including Agege Motor Road, Oshodi-Apapa, Third Mainland Bridge, and Lagos Island. Illegal parking and passenger scouting by commercial transporters, particularly around Oworonshoki, Obalende, and Lewis-Obalende Street, caused traffic bottlenecks.”
“56 vehicles were impounded, and offenders will face legal consequences.”
“We remind Lagosians that obeying traffic laws isn’t just about compliance but essential for reducing congestion, safeguarding lives, and ensuring smooth movement across the city. Let’s work together for a safer Lagos.”
