SUPER EAGLES WILL THRIVE UNDER EGUAVOEN—EKPO
Former Nigerian international Friday Ekpo believes the Super Eagles will thrive under interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen.
Having commenced his reign with some positive results, the team defeated Benin 3-0 before playing out a 1-1 draw with Rwanda in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
However, speaking with Completesports.com, Ekpo stated that Eguavoen has the capacity and capability to make the Super Eagles a strong force again.
“So far, so good. I want to say Austine Eguavoen has really done well with the Super Eagles based on the two matches the team played against Benin and Rwanda.
“You can actually see that the team has shown more hunger and determination in their play since he took over.” Yes, he’s currently working on an interim basis, but then I believe he deserves to be given the confidence.
“With him, I am confident the Super Eagles will thrive and soar high again.”
