The Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC) has extended an invitation to Lagos Traffic Radio to collaborate on a number of landmark projects and initiatives in anticipation of its 30th anniversary and related festivities.

During a courtesy call on the management of Lagos Traffic Radio, PSSDC Director-General Adekunmilola Adio-Moses disclosed this, stating that the station shares information with its listeners strategically and effectively.

Adio-Moses announced that Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, will preside over the event, which is set for Friday, October 4, 2024.

The Director-General said, “Among the notable projects that will be unveiled during the event are a digital studio, a book, and the improved Lagos State Learning Platform, which is known as “Eko Learn.”

According to Adio-Moses, there are also plans to restructure the Induction Course for recently hired employees and those transferring to the Lagos State Civil Service. Additionally, a language class will be starting soon to encourage people, particularly civil servants, to learn foreign languages like Yoruba, French, and Mandarin.

Along with revealing that a new Directorate will be established on gender-related concerns, he also mentioned that the PSSDC would offer counseling services to anyone in need of discrete and knowledgeable advisors on urgent matters.

Adio-Moses stated that the ToastMasters Club was established by the PSSDC to assist in teaching Public Servants how to speak effectively on current issues and to enhance their learning, public speaking, and leadership abilities.

The PSSDC was honored on its anniversary by Tayo Akanle, General Manager of Lagos Traffic Radio, who also emphasized the importance of the induction program for public personnel.

Akanle mentioned that Traffic Radio, which presently has roughly two million listeners on its terrestrial platform and more online, is working on a Booster Station project to increase its reach.

He congratulated the Director-General on his contribution to the Agency’s progress and tasked him with making further advancements.
