OPRAH WINFREY REFUTES CLAIMS OF RECEIVING $1 MILLION TO SUPPORT KAMALA HARRIS
Oprah Winfrey, the American television star, has denied rumors that she received $1 million to endorse Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s nominee in the recently ended US presidential election.
According to the Washington Examiner, the TV personality’s business, Harpo Productions, was paid to hold a celebrity town hall in September on Harris’ behalf.
In response, the legendary talk show host made it plain that she refused to take any money to support the Democratic candidate.
“Not true. I was paid nothing, ever,” TMZ quoted Oprah as saying.
Oprah declined to discuss the election results, which showed Donald Trump, the nominee of the Republican Party, win the presidency.
