JUST IN: UK MP MIKE AMESBURY PLEADS GUILTY TO ASSAULT

Mike Amesbury, a suspended Labour MP, acknowledged hitting a man after a late-night argument in Cheshire.

The Runcorn & Helsby representative entered a guilty plea to a charge of assault by beating at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, according to GB News.

The incident happened on October 26, 2024, at 2:48 a.m. on Main Street in Frodsham. Paul Fellows, 45, was punched by Amesbury, 55, during the argument, which was captured on camera and extensively shared on social media.

Following the attack, the Labour Party removed the party whip in late October and suspended Amesbury. The UK Labour Party suspends MP following the release of a brawl video.

The MP was formally charged on October 29, after prosecutors received evidence of the incident three days earlier.
