PHOTOS: PRINCESS SAMIAT BADA FLAGS-OFF 3RD EDITION OF IKOSI-ISHERI LCDA FREE ICT TRAININGS

The Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) hosted the third edition of the Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada Free ICT Program on Monday, January 20, 2025, at the Senator Adebayo Oshinowo Hall. The program reflects the Mayoress’s ongoing efforts to equip residents with essential ICT skills over a three-month training period.
The ICT program includes courses in Desktop Publishing, Technical Engineering, Graphics and Animation, Creative Design, Full Stack Web Development, Screen Arts, and Management, with specialized modules in AI Programming, UI/UX, and Python.
Representing the Mayoress, Vice Chairman Hon. Olayinka Ogunleye stated, “This initiative reflects our belief that knowledge is the foundation of progress. Equipping our people with 21st-century skills is an investment in our community’s future.”
Princess Samiat Bada, reflecting on the success of previous graduates, noted, “Many of our alumni are excelling in fields like graphic design, animation, web development, cinematography, and other ICT areas. Their achievements are proof that with proper training, we can nurture a new generation of innovators here in Ikosi-Isheri.”
The 2025 edition features a wide range of courses designed to meet global demand. “This year, we offer more opportunities in areas such as Desktop Publishing, Cinematography, Graphic & Animation, Full Stack Web Development, and Administrative Management. These courses are not just educational but crucial for personal and professional growth,” she emphasized.
The Mayoress reiterated her administration’s commitment to progress, stating, “With our fully-equipped ICT hub, we are dedicated to providing world-class training. In our second term, we will further enhance this program, introduce advanced courses, and ensure no one is left behind in the digital revolution.”
She urged stakeholders to remain committed, saying, “This is only the beginning. We have built a strong foundation, but we must continue to grow with the same passion and dedication that have brought us here.”
In closing, she expressed gratitude to the organizers, facilitators, and participants: “I thank my team for their hard work, our facilitators for their expertise, and the Ikosi-Isheri community for their unwavering support. As we enter 2025, let’s work together for a brighter, more prosperous future for all.”
