
KANO POLICE INTERCEPT DRUGS WORTH OVER N100M HIDDEN IN CEMENT TRUCK
The Kano State Police Command has intercepted a mini truck transporting six large bales of suspected tramadol tablets hidden beneath bags of cement, with an estimated street value exceeding ₦150 million.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the development in a post on Monday.
According to the report, the interception occurred during a sting operation in Alharini village, located in Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State.
Makama explained that although the truck appeared to be loaded with cement, a detailed inspection by officers revealed the hidden contraband. Two individuals were arrested in connection with the discovery.
The suspects have been identified as Imrana Rabiu, the truck driver from Bene town in Kebbi State, and Muntari Shuaibu, a resident of Kofar Gabas in Babura LGA, Jigawa State.
Police sources confirmed that the operation is part of ongoing efforts by the command to combat drug trafficking and related criminal activities within the state.
The command also reiterated its dedication to working alongside other security agencies to eliminate crime and ensure public safety in Kano.
