OGUN CUSTOMS INTERCEPTS 276 KEGS OF PETROL

The Ogun command of the Nigeria customs service has intercepted 276 kegs of 50 litres of petrol, 32 kegs of diesel and five drums of kerosine being smuggled out of the country along the Idiroko border area of the state
Showcasing these seizures along with other prohibited goods which include foreign rice and used vehicles with duty pad value of over #67 million, the state controller mr Sani Magudu says the petroleum products would be auctioned to sister security agencies.
The customs boss however reassured of his agency collaboration with other sister security agencies of government, In the face of the on going fuel scarcity which has continue to paralyze activities in many parts of the country,
Our ccorrespondent reports that Controller Magudu however reads the rot act to smugglers asking them to have a rethink of their action or relocate from the state as the command is more ready to carry out its constitutional duties in line with the constitution of the federal republic
