
ARMY ACHIEVES FURTHER SUCCESS AS TROOPS ELIMINATE 21 TERRORISTS IN KATSINA

Troops from the Joint Task Force North West, operating under Operation Fasin Yama, have successfully neutralized no fewer than 21 terrorists causing unrest in parts of Katsina State.
This was revealed by the Nigerian Army Headquarters in a statement shared on its official social media platforms on Friday.
According to the post, the operation took place in Ruwan Godiya, located in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State.
According to the army, the troops subdued the terrorists in a fierce firefight, forcing them to abandon their base and flee.
“During the ensuing pursuit, 21 terrorists were neutralized, with some succumbing to drowning in a nearby river.
“The operation also yielded a significant seizure of large cache of arms and ammunition, including guns, rifles, magazines, explosives, communication devices, mobile phones, and motorcycles”.
There has been a significant victory against the insurgents causing havoc in the northern part of the country.
