GUNMEN ATTACK VEHICLE CARRYING ELECTION MATERIALS IN BENUE
The State INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda confirmed that a vehicle belonging to the independent national electoral commission (INEC) in Benue state has been attacked by gunmen in military uniform while conveying non-sensitive election materials to one of the local government area in the state.
Yilwatda said : “This is true. Recently, our vehicle which was conveying non sensitive materials was attacked along Logo area by people in military uniform.”
It wasn’t revealed if the attackers made away with any election materials.
