AMOSUN STONED IN ABEOKUTA BY ANGRY WORKERS

Reports say Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun was pelted by angry workers yesterday, Tuesday in Abeokuta.
The workers, who were said to be protesting the ill-treatment of some of their colleagues in the state, by the governor, stormed Oke-Imosan, venue of a meeting between the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, led by Ayuba Wabba and the sate government stoned Amosun’s car with satchet water and rained all sorts of abusive words against him.
However, hotjist.com gathered this morning that Wabba and other NLC leaders negotiating with the Governor on behalf of the aggrieved workers were able to discreetly reach an agreement with State government.
The NLC leadership added that one of the four issues is the call for reinstatement of the state NLC Chairman, Akeem Ambali, whom he sacked over a year ago.
According to a Memorandum of Understanding, MOU signed by both parties and made available to Hotjist, the Governor assured the Organised Labour that his “administration would not owe Cooperative deductions, leave bonus and other global deductions by the end of his second term in office in May 2019 as all would be paid in April 2019”.
He also “approved the re-instatement into the service with immediate effect of the following; Akeem Ambali, Assistant Director, Community and Social Development, Adegbenro Emmanuel Jolaolu, Principal Grade I, Emmanuel AdeniyiAsegbe, Senior Education Officer and Taylor Oluwatobiloba Oluwatomiwa, Education Officer”.
