FANI-KAYODE SPEAKS ON ALLEGED DEFECTION FROM APC

Femi Fani-Kayode, the former Minister of Aviation, has disputed allegations that he has left the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He stated that certain reports were never genuine and that he is still very much a member of the APC.

Fani-Kayode indicated that any declaration about his political membership that did not come directly from him or via his verified social media profiles was false.

“Reports that I have quit @OfficialAPCNg are false,” he tweeted.

“Any declaration about my political affiliation that does not come directly from me or from my verified social media profiles is false.”

After meeting President Muhammadu Buhari, the former minister defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in September 2021.

Fani-Kayode had set up camp with Kogi State Governor Yahahya Bello. He was continually backing him and advocating for his presidential bid till he was defeated by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for the APC presidential ticket.

He has also recently defended the APC’s Muslim-Muslim ticket, claiming that there was nothing wrong with it.
