CRIME UPDATE: POLICE ARREST BRAIN-BOX THIEVES
Four members of a syndicate that specializes in damaging and selling automobile parts have been detained by the Surulere Division of the police.
After receiving word that three Mercedes Benz SUVs brought in for maintenance at a mechanic shop had been destroyed and had had their brain boxes and oil pumps stolen, the perpetrators were apprehended on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.
The suspects—Sodiq Odugbade, 20, Aliyu Yusufa, 20, Ayinla Aliaminu, 21, and Ayomide Ogunshiyi, 18, who were mechanic apprentices in the area—have provided the police with helpful information. Arresting the recipients of these stolen goods is a priority. Suspects who were arrested have now been arraigned.
