Five clubs battle for Nwakali as he seeks permanent Man City exit

Manchester City are in talks with five different clubs over the transfer of former Nigeria U20 international Chidiebere Nwakali, according to reports.
The central midfielder has entered the final twelve months of his contract with the Premier League champions and wants to leave the club on a permanent basis instead of being loaned out for the sixth time in his City career.
It is understood that Manchester City agreed to the demands of Chidiebere Nwakali and his representatives, paving the way for him to join a new employer before the close of the summer transfer window, and are now locked in talks with interested clubs.
Chidiebere Nwakali is now represented by English-based Stellar Group, who brokered the deal that took his brother Kelechi to Arsenal in 2016.
Since officially becoming a player of City in 2015, he has been loaned out to Málaga B, Girona, IK Start, Sogndal and Aberdeen due to work permit issues.
The 21-year-old trained with the Nigeria National Team ahead of their final World Cup qualifier against Algeria and traveled with the team to Russia for a friendly against Argentina last November.
