JUST IN: INEC WAS FORCED TO POSTPONE THE 2019 ELECTIONS

Following an announcement earlier made by the Independent National Electoral Commission on postponement of the2019 elections, new revelations have emerged over the reasons why the decision was reached about 4 hours to the period formerly scheduled for the commencement of the exercise.
According to an inside source from INEC, the postponement was caused by a break in logistics in some states, like Rivers.
The source who revealed to hotjistcom that INEC was forced to reach such decision, stated that, while some states like, Oyo, Kano and many others had been sorted with INEC materials on ground, few other states had their material stranded in Abuja till the early hours of Saturday, which the Commission was said to have considered transporting at such hours too dangerous for the youth corpers who are being employed as INEC’s ad-hoc staff.
“In Oyo state here, for example, we’ve been sorted before nightfall yesterday.In fact, as massive as Kano is, they were home and dry in good time.But some states presented logistic nightmares. In some, sensitive materials got stuck in Abuja. Remember they depended of the Airforce to airlift. And weather conditions may block that.
“In some other states, like Rivers, materials may have gotten to the state branch of the central bank, but moving the materials laarin oru (in the dead of the night), with young, vulnerable corpers, especially with the violence and attacks, was a no no.
“So eventually, after much exploring to see if they could still brave it, they had to let iso kekere badije (had to allow the lesser evil).
“It was a hard decision. That meeting took almost 5 hours.INEC knew they would take hits. But if they had gone on with the elections, it would have been worse. The courts, or INEC itself, would have been forced to cancel all of the elections”, the closed source told hotjist.com
