LAGOS IS NOT A PLACE FOR EXPERIMENT – FMR GOV. FASHOLA
Joseph Omoniyi
Minister for works, power and housing, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola has posited that Lagos as a state cannot afford to go through an experiment in terms of governance and development at the expense of experience.
Speaking on TVC this Thursday, The former governor of Lagos said the state has gone beyond going through practicals having witnessed various levels of visionary transformations over the last 20 years.
Fashola further revealed that the All progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial candidate in the State, Babajide Sanwo-olu alongside his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat have been working for the development of the state for over 25 years, therefore possess the experience that Lagos needs to move forward.
He said, “under the glance of experience, governance is not not a glamour show, it is a very very demanding work and this team (referring to Sanwo-olu and Hamzat) have been working behind the scene for 25 years”
“I must say this to Lagosians that, during my tenure, it was Jide that I asked to handle the management in training and in development of the public service under the ministry of establishment…an area which many people tried to avoid”, he stated.
