The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja has dismissed one of the petitions filed by Senator Ademola Adeleke against the incumbent governor of the State.
The judgement as at the time of filling this report is still on going. We shall continue to update you as the news break.
In one of the applications:
“The PDP’s application that the Tribunal strike out all the tables inserted by the 2nd and 3rd respondents in their replies to the Petition…….DECISION”
The Tribunal has discountenanced the application as the Electoral Act did not prescribe nor decline the use of Tables.
A table is thus defined as a body of facts and figures arranged in rows and columns.”
The inclusion of vertical or horizontal lines does not change the nature of the facts but guides the reader from veering off the relevant information.”
