UK NHS 70 CELEBRATIONS AND AWARDS NIGHT 2019 ORGANISERS RECEIVES APPLAUD FROM PRIME MINISTER

The United Kingdom Prime Minister, Theresa May has congratulated the organisers of the recently concluded UK NHS 70 Celebrations and Awards Night 2019.
In the letter written to the organisers, May congratulates the healthcare professionals of Nigerian origin. She said, ““I am honoured to send a message for the Nigerian Healthcare Professionals UK NHS 70 Celebrations and Awards Night 2019.
As we celebrate the many achievements of the NHS over the last 70 years, these awards are an excellent opportunity to recognise the dedication of outstanding healthcare professionals of Nigerian origin. Your contribution has had an important influence on our vital healthcare system, helping to shape the NHS and the diversity of its workforce.
May l take this opportunity to congratulate all winners and nominees and send my best wishes for a successful and enjoyable event.”
The award ceremony was held on Saturday 23rd March 2019, at Grange City Hotel, 8-14 Cooper Row, London EC3N 2BQ about 5.00pm
It was organized to celebrate Nigerians whose organisations/businesses have created opportunities of work for the society in general and Nigerians in particular within the health and social care services.
The prestigious awards evening features the celebration of 207 shortlisted finalists and the unveiling of 70 Most Outstanding Healthcare Professionals in the NHS.
The citation and biographies of the nominees who were screened by an independent panel of judges assembled by the organisers adorned the souvenir event brochure.
The outcome of the highly competitive process is the result of a record breaking gathering of NHS healthcare professionals of Nigerian origin ever gathered under one roof.
With over 10,000 Nigerian workforce in the NHS, it is indeed an achievement for these individuals to have emerged from the various disciplines in the healthcare sector.
The powerful list of 70 outstanding professionals consists of individuals who have distinguished themselves with significant contributions. Some of the winners have broken new grounds as pioneers, innovators and geniuses who have contributed to the advancement in healthcare practice in different fields.
