UCL: MESSI SCORES A BRACE TO GIVE BARCA A 3-NIL WIN AGAINST LIVERPOOL
Argentine captain, Lionel Messi scored twice to give Barcelona a 3-0 win against Liverpool in the first leg of the Uefa Champions League semifinal.
Suarez had opened the scoring in the 26th minute of the first half with an assist from Jordi Alba.
Messi makes it 2-nil against the run of play, before completing the win with a fantastic freekick which he curled in beyond the reach of Liverpool’s goalkeeper, Alison.
The English club will be fighting to overturn the result when the two sides meet again in the second leg which comes up next week Tuesday.
