The Atlas Lions of Morocco have advanced to the knockout stage of the AFCON 2019 after they defeated The Elephants of Ivory Coast 1-0 in a a Group D cracker.
Youssef En-Nesyri gave the Moroccans the lead in the 23rd minute of the first half. They were able to hold off the Ivorians till the end of the game.
Morocco who won their opening game 1-0 against Namibia qualified for the next round with one more game to play against South Africa, having gathered 6 maximum points in their 2 games so far.
