AFCON2019: THINGS NOT LOOKING GOOD FOR TUNISIA AS THEY MANAGE A DRAW AGAINST MALI
Joseph Omoniyi
The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia again recorded another frustrating draw in the AFCON 2019 Tournament against Mali.
Tunisia who were forced into a 1-1 draw in the first match against the Palancreas Negras of Angola, went a goal down in the 60th minute of the game via Mali’s Samassekou’s beautifully curled in corner-kick. They however came back into the game after captain, Zhakri’s free-kick was deflected into the net by Malian striker, Marega.
With this result the eagles of Mali remain on top of the group with 4 points, while Tunisia struggle with 2 points.
