ACTOR NOSA REX – I DON’T THINK I CAN PLAY GAY CHARACTER
By Adeniyi Onaara
Nosa Rex, a well-known Nollywood actor, is speaking out about his acting choices and willingness to take on difficult roles.
In a recent interview with Punch NG, the actor said that while he has no regrets about any role he has played in his ten-year career, he is hesitant to play a homosexual character.
“I have never regretted doing any character,” the actor said in the Sunday Scoop interview. As an actor, I am expected to be able to interpret any character that is provided to me. But I don’t think I’ll ever be able to act like a gay person.
“It’s a character I don’t particularly enjoy portraying.” It’ll be difficult for me to pretend to be gay when I’m not. Aside from that, I don’t believe I’ve ever played a character that I regret. It’s been from one hard role to the next throughout my career.”
Nosa Rex is one of the industry’s most well-known actors, having appeared in over 40 films.
Formerly known for his work in the Asaba film business, the actor has recently transitioned to feature films, with notable titles like Funke Akindele-Bello and JJC Skillz’ record-breaking film ‘Omo Ghetto: The Saga’ and VSL Media’s newest release ‘The Wildflower.’
