RAPPER EEDRIS ABDULKAREEM TO RECEIVE KIDNEY TRANSPLANT IN LAGOS
By Adeniyi Onaara
Eedris Abdulkareem, a legendary musician from Nigeria, is scheduled to receive a kidney transplant in Lagos, therefore his family has asked for Nigerians’ support and prayers.
The singer of “Nigeria Jaga Jaga” has reportedly been on dialysis since receiving a recent renal failure diagnosis, according to a statement posted on his Instagram page on Wednesday.
It also stated that a family member had offered to give their kidney to the musician for the treatment, which will take place later in July 2022. The message was signed by his colleague and associate, Myke Pam.
The statement said, in part, that Eedris Abdulkareem, of “Nigeria Jaga Jaga” fame, “needs the earnest and unalloyed prayers of all Nigerians and his followers throughout the world in this hour of his travails.”
The date for the transplant surgery is now set for the end of this month, July, and all arrangements and texts have been completed, including certifying the compatibility status of the gracious donor (a family member).”
The Lakreem Entertainment Inc. Boss has recently been diagnosed with kidney failure and has been undergoing dialysis since the detection at a reputable hospital here in Lagos, Nigeria. Consequently, I speak on behalf of Lakreem Entertainment Inc. and the Abdulkareem family.
In light of these trying times, we earnestly ask for prayers and kind thoughts for Eedris.
According to the press release, Abdulkareem will perform again “in due course” and is “full of life and in great spirit as he is buzzing to go.”
