The hierarchy of the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security services wishes to reassert its commitment to and pact with Nigerians as a whole.
People should go about their daily business as their safety is ensured. With the recent operations carried out from July 23, we want to reassure residents of FCT in particular that we are undeterred and persistent in our efforts to secure the safety of lives and properties.
All Nigerians are thus requested to provide their support and cooperation as security.
“Citizens are advised to alert security officials about odd people in their neighborhood. Say something if you notice something, he said.
Maj-Gen Jimmy Akpor, the director of defense information, urged the media to help the military in its efforts to overcome the country’s enemies.
Regarding the voicemail apparently from a soldier participating in the incident that has been circulating on social media, Akpor said it was unnecessary to make inquiries about its veracity.
