LAGOS 2023: JANDOR SEEKS PARTNERSHIP WITH STAKE HOLDERS, VOWS TO MAKE LAGOS LIVABLE FOR ALL
The Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate in Lagos, Abdul Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor) sought partnership of business owners, non-indegenes and traditional leaders in his quest to become the next governor of Lagos state come 2023.
Adediran’s campaign ahead of the 2023 gubernetorial election continued on Thurday as he held critical meetings with stake holders, groups and traditional leaders in various wards in Alimosho.
Adediran, while having an interactive session with the business owners, trade groups <span;>non- indigenes and traditional chiefs in Egbe-Idimu area of Alimosho, promised to safeguard businesses and make Lagos liveable for all.
The 44 year-old called for partnership, saying that his team plans to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive without any anti-people policies.
According to him, non-indigenes <span;>will be involved in his administration as they have contributed immensely towards the development of the state.
“Some of us know your contributions to the state economy in Ladipo and Alaba International Markets and others. Partner with us, and I will create condusive environment for your businesses.
“We will make Lagos liveable and work for you. We want to birth a Lagos that work for all. You are not asking for too much. We want to make Lagos resources work for all.
“For us to have been on this journey for seven years, be rest assured that I am ready, give me a chance,” Adediran said.
Chief Emeka Agagwo, a stakeholder in Ladipo Market and leader of non-indegene communities assured the candidate of total support.
Agagwo said: “We are voting Jandor because of his intelligence. We are sure Jandor will fulfill all his promises.”
Also speaking, Mr Isibor Wilfred, the Chairman, Akindele-Coker Landlords Association in the area, said: “We have to support this candidate because he is young, articulate and forthright.
“I have watched his interviews, I don’t know him from Adam but I see a good governor in him. I counsel him to be focus and not to be distracted by anything.”
Speaking at a meeting with <span;>Lagos State Planks and Building Materials Market Association (LSPBMMA)<span;>, Adediran blames godfatherism for the constant deteriorating condition of the state under the Sanwo-Olu led administration stating that he will run a government free of external control to maximize the resources and enable proper development of the state.
Going by his Lagos for Lagos initiative, Adediran assured a better living for all Lagos residents by making sure that members of each community are involved in projects going on in such community.
“We will provide better living by engaging the locals in every project in such community.
“We will put money in your pockets when we engage you and you will know that you have a government. I cannot promise you what I won’t do. Whatever I promise you here today, I will do the same,” he said.
Mr Sunday Adeogun, Zonal Chairman of the association, while speaking, called for ease and freedom to do business in Lagos.
He reiterated that previous politicians have made promises to the association only to be disappointed after they assume office.
Running mate Funke Akindele made her continues to rally support from traders in Alimosho markets.
In her remarks with the market women, Akindele stated that the PDP administration will not punish the entire market for the crime of one individual.
She said, “Under no condition will we close down market because we know this is where you earn your daily living.”
“We are going to provide free education with free school uniforms for your children.” She said.
