CHELSEA EXIT ‘CAME TOO SOON’ – THOMAS TUCHEL OPENS UP
Former Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel claims that his sacking from the club “came too early”.
The German was axed by owner Todd Boehly last month after a difficult start to the season.
The 49-year-old has since travelled to India for three weeks of Ayurvedic rejuvenation – a type of therapy that aims to balance the mind, body and spirit.
While over there, the German spoke to Indian paper Sportstar to reflect on his time at Stamford Bridge.
“I loved every day at Chelsea. It came to an end too early for me, but it was out of my hands. This is also what you sign up for.”
Tuchel looks back on many fond memories including winning the Champions League with chelsea in 2021.
“There were many games that I was really happy with – the ones against Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Porto and the final.”
The former Blue has recently been linked with the England job, with boss Gareth Southgate under pressure.
Talking about his future, Tuchel remains coy as he said, “I haven’t made a decision yet.
He also spoke about his therapy experience. “I was curious. One of my assistant coaches was here six years ago.
“He told me good things about this place. I have always been aware of the principles of Ayurveda.
“After a long period of coaching, there was a possibility of taking a break for me, so I came here. The experience has been fantastic.
“I feel energised and calm. I would recommend this to everybody who wants to discipline the body and the mind.”
