TRAFFIC CONGESTION WORSENS AS TRAILER OVERTURNS ON OTEDOLA BRIDGE
By Adeniyi OnaaraĀ
On Thursday, a crane trailer overturned on the Otedola bridge near the Alausa secretariat in Lagos, causing traffic to back up.
When our correspondent passed by the bridge, he noticed that security personnel from the Nigerian Police Force, the Nigerian Army, and the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority were present.
All vehicular traffic from the secretariat has been diverted from the Lagos-Ibadan expressway to the CMD-Magodo road, which connects underneath the Otedola bridge to the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
According to reports, no one was killed, but the trailer’s driver was injured on his right ankle.
The accident happened while the trailer’s driver was attempting to avoid colliding with a broken-down vehicle.
