ACCORDING TO BILLBOARD AND VIBE, JAY Z IS THE GREATEST RAPPER OF ALL TIME

Billboard and Vibe have collaborated to create a list of the greatest rappers of all time, with multi-award-winning rapper and business mogul Jay Z atop the list.
The list was released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of hip hop.
Billboard and Vibe released their list of the greatest rappers of all time on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
The legendary rapper and 27-time Grammy winner Shawn Carter AKA Jay Z, whose illustrious career has spanned nearly three decades, is ranked as the greatest.
Billboard and Vibe comment on the list:
“So we reasoned our way to what we believe is a well-thought-out, authentic list that reflects hip-foundational hop’s pioneers, evolutionary trailblazers, and contemporary mainstays after much deliberation and deep discussion. Furthermore, that mix includes 50 years of cultural milestones for a genre that was once dismissed as a passing fad — and is now recognized as the industry’s market-share leader.”
Rick Ross, the flamboyant rapper, is ranked 50th, Lauren Hill, the celebrated rapper and musician, is ranked 30th, and commercial rapper and businessman 50 Cent is ranked 17th.
Kanye West, a generational talent and sound shaper, is ranked 11th, just outside the top 10.
The following are the top ten greatest rappers: With a No. 10 ranking, Nicki Minaj is the highest-ranking female on the list. Best-selling rapper of all time Drake is ranked NO. 8.
For his success and impact, Lil Wayne is ranked at NO. 7. Famous rappers and rivals Notorious B.I.G and Tu Pac are ranked NO. 6 and NO. 4 respectively.
