The Presidential Candidate of Labour Party (LP), has faulted Nigeria’s inability to a conduct free and fair election 63 years after independence, saying he will challenge “electoral rascality” in court.

He also mentioned that he won the just concluded presidential election and will explore all legal means to retrieve the mandate adding that the election did not meet the minimum standard of a free and fair election.

He said this while addressing the press in Abuja on Thursday, during a World Press Conference.

He said, “Nigeria is 63-years-old and cannot still conduct an election because the process which brings people to power is more important than the outcome”

“I have never knowing compromised any officer and won my case in court, what I am doing is also for the good of their children. i am sure they will do the right thing.”

They have asked me to go to court, I am obedient, I will go to court.”

“Nobody will ever put me under pressure when I challenge their illegalities, Rascality and Process, I am challenging a process that is faulty.”

While speaking, Peter Obi also said that the just concluded presidential election goes down to be one of the most controversial election ever conducted in Nigeria.

“This is very unfair. It is the least expected of Nigeria,” he said.

“I am for peace , I am challenging the process, you cannot have peace on a faulty foundation. If the Foundation is faulty, there cannot be peace. It is not about us, it is about our children and the society.

“We went into an election where someone said this is the route we will follow, and how we will do this when we start and he changes it. it is all about the the process, follow the process, it is important.”

Obi also mentioned that he alongside Datti Baba-Ahmed, his running mate remains committed to a new Nigeria while effusively thanking his supporters, also referred to as ‘Obidients’. He urged them not to be deterred by the outcome of the polls.

“We will work for that new Nigeria that is possible,” he said. “Datti and I remain committed to that new Nigeria.”

I know how the Youths feel now, They are Disillusioned, we will walk this path together, the people who did this are determined but we are more determined than them. We will overcome.”
